Consultant Cosmetic Rhinoplasty & Sinus Surgeon In Fareham & Winchester, Hamps
Why Choose the Adnova Clinic for Rhinoplasty?
Choosing where to have rhinoplasty is as important as choosing who performs it. At Adnova, nasal surgery is delivered in a purpose-built surgical environment by a consultant ENT surgeon whose practice is exclusively focused on the nose.
Board-Certified Cosmetic Nasal Surgery
There are very few Board-Certified Cosmetic Nasal Surgeons outside London. Certification through the Royal College of Surgeons involves formal assessment of:
-Specialist training
-Case volume
-Documented cosmetic outcomes
This ensures surgery is performed to nationally recognised standards of safety, technique, and results.

Advanced Technology: Piezo (Ultrasonic) Rhinoplasty
Ultrasonic (Piezo) rhinoplasty allows nasal bones to be reshaped with precision rather than fractured with traditional osteotomes.
This results in:
-Significantly less bruising and bleeding
-Faster recovery
-Improved long-term structural stability
-Only a small number of UK rhinoplasty surgeons routinely use this technology.
Dorsal Preservation Rhinoplasty
Dorsal preservation is a modern rhinoplasty technique that maintains the natural nasal framework rather than completely removing it. It moves the hump down rather than cutting it off, to reveal a smoother profile.
Benefits include:
-More natural-appearing results
-Better long-term stability
-Reduced risk of secondary deformity
I am currently the only surgeon in Hampshire using Piezo and dorsal preservation techniques.
High-Volume, Nose-Only Practice
One of the largest rhinoplasty practices on the South Coast.
High case volume matters—it improves:
-Surgical consistency
-Decision-making
-Management of complex or revision cases
Specialist ENT Background
As a consultant ENT surgeon, nasal surgery is performed both privately and within the NHS at Queen Alexandra Hospital. This ensures functional breathing outcomes are never compromised in cosmetic surgery.

How Do I Know If Rhinoplasty Is Right for Me?
Functional Reasons
Septorhinoplasty/Rhinoplasty can significantly improve nasal airflow and breathing, particularly if you have:
-
Chronic nasal blockage
-
Deviated septum
-
Nasal valve collapse
Cosmetic Reasons
Common aesthetic concerns include:
-
Dorsal hump
-
Drooping or bulbous nasal tip
-
Nasal asymmetry
-
Disproportionate nasal size
Realistic Expectations
"Rhinoplasty enhances facial harmony, it does not change who you are"
“You will still look like you, just with a better-balanced nose.”
What If I Have a Consultation but Decide Against Surgery?
That is entirely acceptable.
-
No pressure to proceed
-
The consultation itself is diagnostic and educational
-
Alternative treatments or reassurance may be provided
Many patients find value in understanding their anatomy even if surgery is not pursued.
What Should I Expect From Rhinoplasty Surgery?
-
Day-case procedure under general anaesthesia
-
Surgery duration: 2–4 hours
-
Home the same day
-
Initial recovery: 1–2 weeks
-
Exercise: Gradual return between 2–6 weeks
-
Final result continues to refine for up to 12 months
Common Rhinoplasty Questions
Will I be able to breathe immediately after surgery?
Yes. Internal nasal packing is not used.
Will I have bruising?
Some swelling and bruising can occur, but Piezo techniques significantly reduce this.
Is rhinoplasty painful?
Most patients describe pressure rather than pain. Pain is usually mild and well controlled.
Is revision surgery common?
Revision is required in fewer than 5% of cases and is usually related to healing rather than surgical error.
If revision surgery is required and will help, it will be provided free of charge.
Are the results permanent?
Yes. Once healed, structural changes are permanent, although natural ageing continues.
Can breathing and cosmetic surgery be combined?
Yes—and they usually should be. As an ENT surgeon by training, nasal airflow is always prioritised.
