The Adnova Clinic

I am a Hampshire Rhinoplasty Surgeon undertaking private functional septorhinoplasty & cosmetic rhinoplasty at the Adnova Clinic; THE state of the art private daycase surgery centre in the heart of Hampshire

What happens during a consultation

I will meet with you in the Adnova clinic in Fareham, a custom-built facility with consultation rooms and operating theatres to undertake day case surgeries. I will ask you to fill in some quality-of-life questionnaires. During the diagnostic consultation, we will discuss the functional (breathing) and aesthetic (look of your nose) concerns you have. How well you breathe through the nose and whether you have tried any treatments to improve this. I will ask you about your medical history and drug history and therefore it would be worthwhile bringing a list of current medications with you.

During the consultation, I will examine your nose, assessing its function and aesthetics. With your consent, I will take some photographs, to discuss further at a follow up consultation.

We will discuss what type of surgery you would benefit from (Septoplasty vs Rhinoplasty vs Septorhinoplasty) and the details of these.

Following the consultation, I will write to you and your GP (with your consent), outlining the diagnosis, treatment, surgical options, and follow up plan.

Do you offer morphing (digital rhinoplasty simulation)?

Yes, I can provide 3D morphed images when patients feel it would help them understand the general goals of surgery. I use Crisalix to illustrate possible changes such as smoothing a dorsal hump, refining the tip, or adjusting rotation. As part of the process of surgery I go through all photos taken at the 1st consultation in real depth, therefore not everyone needs or wants morphing.

Because digital images cannot predict healing, tissue behaviour or exact surgical results, and the fact that most of my surgeries involve refinement of multiple areas, which is not accurately portrayed through photo simulation, morphs are best viewed as a communication tool rather than an absolute guarantee of results. If requested, I am happy to create a realistic, anatomy-based morph to support our discussion during your consultation.

Do you offer video consultations?

Yes

Although I am a Hampshire Rhinoplasty Surgeon, I do see and operate on patients that travel outside this area. Please contact the adnova clinic to arrange a video consultation.

The consultation fee is payable in advance, and the consultation will occur at a time convient to you. It is helpful to provide some photographs prior to the consultation, which will include as a guide:

1. Front of face/nose

2. Right & left side of face/nose (approx 90 degrees)

 3. Right & left side of face/nose (approx 45 degrees)

4. From the bottom of the nose looking up

5. From the top of the nose looking down

6. If possible, a short video of your nose from side to side, the front, and from below

Please see the pictures section for examples of what these typically look like. Alternatively, Crisalix works very well to produce detailed 3D simulations that I can assess remotely, please see link here.

These initial photos do not need to be perfect and can be taken with a camera phone. They are just to provide a guide to help the consultation. I will need to meet with you face to face, to examine the nose and take formal photographs, before the surgery, which could be arranged the day before, if you are travelling from further away.

I do operate on patients throughout the UK, Europe & Internationally, so do let us know if you are travelling, so that we can provide a first video consultation and further instructions/details regarding local hotels to help plan your post-operative recovery, prior to your return home.

Can I use my medical insurance?

I am afraid we cannot accept medical insurance as a form of payment at Adnova.

I can undertake consultations at Medicana Winchester using insurance and I am registered with all major insurance companies.

Please note, I only perform self-pay septorhinoplasty and rhinoplasty at the Adnova Clinic. I do not perform septorhinoplasty surgery through insurance funding. Find out why here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a consultation at Adnova Clinic?

To arrange a consultation, contact Mr Biggs' private secretary Natasha Read at Adnova Clinic. You can reach her by email at timbiggssec@adnovaclinic.com or by telephone on 01489 663273. Consultations are held at Adnova Clinic, Eagle Point, 1 Little Park Farm Road, Fareham PO15 5TD. Video consultations are also available for patients travelling from outside Hampshire or from further afield.

How do I book surgery, and is a deposit required?

Once you have had your consultation and decided to proceed with surgery, your theatre date is secured with a deposit of £500. This deposit is deducted from your total surgical fee. The remaining balance is due within 30 days of your surgery date. Tasha will guide you through the payment process and confirm all arrangements once the deposit has been received.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card?

You can pay your initial consultation fee (£200) and deposit (£500) with a credit card, but the remianing balance cannot be paid by credit card - only bank transfer.

What are the consultation and surgery fees at Adnova?

The initial consultation fee is £200. Follow-up appointments are free of charge. Surgery is priced on an all-inclusive day-case basis, covering the surgeon's fee, anaesthetist, and all theatre costs.

Current prices are:

  • Tip-plasty: £7,250

  • Functional (non-cosmetic) septorhinoplasty: £8,500

  • Piezoelectric (Piezo) rhinoplasty: £10,500

  • Secondary or complex rhinoplasty: £13,000

There are no hidden extras. Full pricing is available on the Prices page.

Does Adnova Clinic accept medical insurance?

No. Adnova Clinic operates on a self-pay basis only. Medical insurance is not accepted at this site. If you hold insurance and wish to use it for a functional nasal procedure such as septoplasty or sinus surgery, Mr Biggs sees insured patients at Medicana Hospital, Winchester, where he is registered with all major insurers including BUPA, Aviva, Vitality, Cigna, Allianz, and WPA. If you wanted to use your insurance for your initial consultation, this can be arranged, but please be aware I do not undertake insurance funded septorhinoplasty/rhinoplasty surgery - click to read why.

What happens at the first consultation?

The consultation lasts approximately 30 minutes. Mr Biggs will discuss your functional and aesthetic concerns in detail, take a full medical and medication history, and examine your nose internally and externally. Photographs will be taken with your consent for further discussion. You will be asked to complete some quality-of-life questionnaires. Following the appointment, Mr Biggs will write to you and, with your consent, to your GP, summarising his findings and recommendations. A second consultation is offered before or after committing to surgery.

When can I book surgery?

Most patients book a date for surgery after the first consultation, as slots go quickly and currently there is approximately a 3 month waiting list for surgery. Once the surgery is booked a second consultation will be arranged to talk through the photos and discussing any morphing that has been requested.

Do you offer 2D morphing or 3D simulation?

Yes. Mr Biggs can provide 2D Photoshop-based morphed images to illustrate the general direction of possible changes, such as smoothing a dorsal hump, refining the tip, or adjusting rotation. Morphing is offered when patients feel it would help communication, but is not used routinely, as digital images cannot accurately predict healing, tissue behaviour, or final surgical outcome. For patients seeking 3D simulation, Mr Biggs also offers Crisalix 3D imaging at consultation.

Can I have a video consultation?

Yes. Video consultations are available and are particularly suited to patients travelling from outside Hampshire, from elsewhere in the UK, or from abroad. The consultation fee is payable in advance. It is helpful to send photographs of your nose before the appointment, covering front, profile (both sides), three-quarter views, and base view. Mr Biggs will still need to examine the nose in person before surgery, but this can be arranged on the day before the operation if you are travelling from a distance.

Do you operate on patients from outside Hampshire?

Yes. Mr Biggs operates on patients from across the UK, Europe, and internationally. For those travelling from further afield, the video consultation pathway allows an initial assessment remotely, with the in-person examination and formal photography arranged shortly before the surgery date. The team can provide guidance on local hotels and accommodation to assist with planning your post-operative recovery before returning home.

What makes Adnova Clinic different from a standard private hospital?

Adnova is a purpose-built, consultant-led day surgery facility rather than a large general private hospital. It operates two specialist day surgery theatres and dedicated consultation rooms. The environment is focused entirely on elective surgical procedures, which means theatre lists run efficiently and the team is experienced in the specific requirements of rhinoplasty and facial surgery. Mr Biggs performs all surgery personally; no part of your operation is delegated to a trainee.

Is revision surgery included in the price?

Yes. In the event that a revision is required following surgery performed by Mr Biggs at Adnova Clinic, it is carried out free of charge. Mr Biggs' revision rate is under five percent. No decision about revision is made before twelve months after the primary procedure, once healing is fully complete and the final result is established.
