Rhinoplasty, Sinus Surgery and ENT Care for Isle of Wight Patients | Mr Tim Biggs

Patients travelling from the Isle of Wight cross the Solent by Wightlink car ferry, Portsmouth to Fishbourne, about 45 minutes, before the short drive on to whichever of the three practice locations fits what they need. It's a well-established journey, and where surgery is involved, discharge timing on the day can be planned around ferry times so the trip home is straightforward.

- Three locations, three purposes -

Adnova Clinic, Fareham: Rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty

Cosmetic and functional nasal reshaping, including dorsal preservation and Piezo ultrasonic rhinoplasty, is carried out at Adnova Clinic, Fareham, a dedicated day-case surgical centre. Mr Biggs is currently the only surgeon in Hampshire combining these two techniques, and is one of a small number of surgeons in the UK holding RCS Board Certification specifically in cosmetic nasal surgery. Around 30% of the practice is revision surgery, and pricing is all-inclusive and published.

Medicana Clinic, Winchester: Sinus surgery and general ENT

Nasal obstruction, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps and general ENT conditions are seen at Medicana Clinic, Winchester, a modern private hospital covering FESS, septoplasty, turbinoplasty and more complex cases including frontal sinus surgery. Mr Biggs' PhD examined the mechanisms behind nasal polyp formation, and his NHS practice at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, includes over 200 sinus operations a year. Major insurers are accepted alongside self-pay.

Wessex Nuffield, Chandlers Ford: Evening clinics for sinus and nasal concerns

From September 2026, Wessex Nuffield Hospital hosts dedicated evening ENT clinics, Tuesdays 6 to 8pm, covering nasal obstruction, sinusitis, nasal polyps, chronic rhinitis and snoring. This is a useful option for patients wanting an evening appointment rather than fitting a weekday daytime visit around work and the ferry crossing.

- Frequently asked questions -

Do I need to book the ferry separately from my appointment?

Yes, ferry crossings are booked separately with Wightlink. Once your appointment or surgery date is confirmed, the crossing can be booked to fit around it.

How long does the journey take including the ferry?

The Portsmouth to Fishbourne car ferry takes about 45 minutes. Including the crossing, allow around 1 hour in total to reach Adnova Clinic, Fareham, and around 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Medicana or the Wessex Nuffield.

Can surgery timing take the ferry crossing into account?

Yes. Discharge timing on the day of surgery can be planned around ferry times, so travel home is as comfortable as possible.

Which location should I choose for my concern?

Rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty are seen at Adnova Clinic, Fareham. Sinus disease, nasal obstruction and general ENT concerns are seen at Medicana Clinic, Winchester, or the Wessex Nuffield.

Is a consultation self-pay only?

Consultations at Adnova Clinic for rhinoplasty are self-pay, £200. Consultations at Medicana Clinic for sinus and nasal concerns accept both self-pay and major insurers.
