How to Book an Appointment for Nasal Blockage or Rhinoplasty – No Referral Needed

If you’re struggling with nasal blockage, snoring, or breathing problems, or if you’re considering rhinoplasty for cosmetic or functional reasons, you don’t need to wait months for an NHS referral or see your GP to access private self-funded care.
In fact, if you’re self-funding your treatment, you can book directly with a consultant ENT and rhinology surgeon for expert assessment and, if appropriate, surgery.
At Adnova Clinic in Fareham, near Portsmouth and Winchester, I offer direct-access consultations for all nasal conditions, including:
Blocked nose and breathing problems
Deviated septum
Nasal valve collapse
Post-traumatic (injury-related) nasal deformity
Cosmetic or combined functional rhinoplasty
Do I Need a GP Referral?
No - if you’re paying for your own care, a GP referral is not required.
You can contact the clinic directly to arrange an appointment. Many patients still choose to inform their GP, but it isn’t necessary. This makes it possible to move forward quickly and conveniently, especially if you’ve been waiting a long time for an NHS ENT referral.
During each consultation, and surgery if necessary, I will (with your consent) write to your GP and update them at every stage of your treatment pathway. So they will always be informed.
Why Choose Private Assessment?
There are several benefits to booking privately:
No long waiting lists – appointments are usually available within days/weeks. Surgery is available within a few months, rather than years.
Consultant-delivered care – you’ll see the same surgeon who performs your operation, throughout your whole pathway.
Detailed assessment – full examination of nasal airflow, structure and function.
Transparent pricing – consultation fees and surgical costs explained clearly, all available to review now on my website and the Adnova website.
Continuity of care – ongoing follow-up with your surgeon, not a rotating team.
If you’ve already used a steroid nasal spray for three months with little or no improvement, that’s a strong sign your problem could be structural, not inflammatory and worth assessing surgically.
